COVID-19 | Update on the distribution of the Publisac

Hello,

You are certainly aware of the recent announcements made by the Government of Québec regarding essential services. At the request of the government and our clients who are part of the businesses and services identified as essential, we must maintain our distribution service.  

In the current circumstances, our mission is to support grocery, pharmacy and hardware stores in their need to communicate with the population in order to ensure and maintain the delivery of our clients’ essential services. Our service also allows the distribution of local newspapers that inform communities about news in their region.

Newspapers and flyers are important social communication tools, especially in this time of crisis. Newspapers keep the population informed and flyers share crucial information about the activities of essential businesses in their area. Retailers have adapted their content to inform citizens about new opening hours, hygiene measures to adopt in stores and several other critical elements related to the current crisis. In addition, the flyers help Quebecers better manage their personal finances, help break isolation, particularly among seniors, and participate in the decision-making of the Quebecers when making online purchases and planning their limited travel, in accordance with current government recommendations.

Our distribution continues across the province and will reflect the needs of our customers identified as essential services. Some households may therefore temporarily no longer receive the Publisac. We then invite these individuals and families to consult the flyers online on our website at www.publisac.ca. 

Finally, we have put in place health and safety measures and we have adapted our distribution practices to limit contact and respect the recommended guidelines of our government.
